Medicaid and meet certain criteria. You must be at or below 185% of the
Federal Poverty Level ($1,986 a month for 2005, for a single, pregnant

What is covered?
How
does it work?
Before the client is
granted M.O.M.S. services, they must apply for Medicaid/MIHealth. The
client is then given a guarantee of payment letter to be used for the
first 45 days until their Medicaid/MIHealth card comes in. This letter
covers the client’s pregnancy-related services immediately. Services are
provided by your physician, certified nurse mid-wife, nurse practitioner,
and other agencies or health care professionals that participate in the
program.
How
do you apply?
You can apply for
M.O.M.S. services at any of the three Mid-Michigan District Health
Department locations (Ithaca, St. Johns and Stanton), in FIA offices or at
other authorized community agencies.
