What is Emergency Preparedness?

The purpose of emergency preparedness at the Mid-Michigan District Health Department is to ensure the agency and the community is prepared for any crisis situation. The Mid-Michigan District Health Department must be ready to respond to all types of emergencies, including medical, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosive and natural disasters with information and guidance to our residents.

Try visiting DO1Thing, a program that makes preparing for emergencies easier and more manageable. Each month, Do1Thing will have you do one thing to increase your level of of preparedness. At the end of twelve months, you will have developed an emergency plan and kit!
